Flow IV provides hydration and wellness support after clinician screening. This service is not post-operative medical care and does not replace the surgical team's instructions or follow-up. Contact the treating clinician about post-procedure concerns and call 911 for emergencies.
Who this may be appropriate for
Post-Op Recovery may be appropriate for eligible adults seeking hydration and nutrient wellness support during recovery when their surgeon or procedural clinician has not advised against it.
Clients should follow all discharge instructions, medication directions, wound-care guidance, diet restrictions, and follow-up plans from their surgical team.
This service does not provide post-operative medical care, assess surgical complications, accelerate healing, or replace follow-up with the treating clinician.
What to expect during your appointment
The clinician reviews the procedure date and type, discharge instructions, current symptoms, medications, allergies, medical history, and any restrictions from the surgical team.
The appointment includes screening, setup, IV placement when appropriate, monitoring, and cleanup. The infusion generally takes 20-40 minutes, with additional time for access and careful post-procedure screening.
Clients should have their discharge paperwork and medication list available. Flow IV may request clearance or recommend contacting the surgical team before proceeding.
Safety screening
Screening may include fever, pain pattern, swelling, bleeding, wound concerns, vomiting, fluid intake, urine output, mobility, medications, blood-clot risk, kidney or heart conditions, and recent complications.
New or worsening post-operative symptoms need assessment by the surgical team or an urgent medical service rather than mobile wellness support.
The clinician may decline service when the procedure, symptoms, medication plan, vital signs, or discharge instructions make an infusion inappropriate.
When IV therapy is not appropriate
Call the surgical team or seek urgent care for fever, uncontrolled pain, heavy bleeding, wound opening, pus, rapidly increasing redness or swelling, persistent vomiting, or inability to take prescribed medication.
Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, confusion, stroke-like symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, or other emergency symptoms.
Some clients may not be candidates because of kidney or heart conditions, fluid restrictions, medication interactions, allergies, abnormal vital signs, or post-operative complications.
Hotel, home, and group appointment logistics
Flow IV can meet eligible clients at Las Vegas homes or hotels when the location is accessible, private, and suitable for a monitored appointment.
Arrange help with building access if movement is limited. Keep discharge paperwork, medication lists, surgeon contact information, and relevant restrictions available.
Every client is screened individually. Travel timing and appointment duration vary with location access, mobility needs, screening, and clinician availability.
